As of recently, EuJAP has received for the first time a Journal Impact Factor (JIF) and Journal Citation Indicator (JCI), provided by the Web of Science database. While EuJAP’s JIF for 2023 is 0.7, its JCI is 1.36. According to the Web of Science: “The Journal Citation Indicator is a measure of the average Category Normalized Citation Impact (CNCI) of citable items (articles and reviews) published by a journal over a recent three year period. It is used to help you evaluate journals based on other metrics besides the Journal Impact Factor (JIF).” (see WoS JCI)
Given the latter, EuJAP is currently listed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index in Q1 category for Ethics and Philosophy. Not bad for the first calculation of its ranking. We will wait and see whether such results will eventually enable EuJAP to be included into more competitive Web of Science Core Collection databases.
