The editors of EuJAP join other colleagues in expressing our sorrow for the unexpected passing of Professor Gaus.
There are already many memorial notices testifying to the impact that Professor Gaus left in political philosophy and beyond. This memorial notice is especially nice because it offers an overview of Prof. Gaus’ philosophical work.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind our readers that in 2013 we had a special issue dedicated to Prof. Gaus’ seminal book “The Order of Public Reason“. The issue can be accessed here and here. In this special issue Prof. Gaus provides an overview of the main ideas expounded in the book and responds to the commentators who discuss different aspects of his work.
